Honorary Life Friends

The Trust Deed of the Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust provides for the Trustees to appoint people as ‘Honorary Life Friends’ of the Trust in recognition of their outstanding service to the Trust.

The following Honorary Life Friends have been appointed:

Kristen Kennedy and Rhonda Butler from Auckland were made Honorary Life Members of the former Kids With Arthritis New Zealand at the Annual General Meeting on 12 August 2012. This was in recognition and appreciation of their initiative in setting up the original support group ‘Joint Connection’ in Auckland in 1996 and then running it until 2000. Kristen and Rhonda were confirmed as Honorary Life Friends of the Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust at the Trust Board Meeting on 2 April 2020.

Adrienne Crowe from Christchurch was made an Honorary Life Member of the former Kids With Arthritis New Zealand at the Annual General Meeting on 12 August 2012. This was in recognition and appreciation of her initiative in setting up the original support group ‘Juvenile Arthritis Support Group’ in Christchurch in 2005 and then running it until 2011. She had then become a founding member of Kids With Arthritis New Zealand. Adrienne was confirmed as an Honorary Life Friend of the Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust at the Trust Board Meeting on 2 April 2020.

Karen Derrick from Auckland was made an Honorary Life Member of the former Kids With Arthritis New Zealand at the Annual General Meeting on 21 July 2013. This was in recognition of the commitment and effort that she had put into running the organisation for more than ten years since 2000. She had then become a founding member of Kids With Arthritis New Zealand in 2011. Karen was confirmed as an Honorary Life Friend of the Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust at the Trust Board Meeting on 2 April 2020.
